Tiny Room Workouts: Lower Body Strength Training

I've been asked to share some good methods for getting in a good work out without equipment, a gym membership, or much extra time. Here is a lower body work out you can do in a tiny room (like mine), with no equipment! I am an English teacher, so I have a heavy backpack, and add or remove books to adjust the weight. Whether it's a backpack, suitcase, briefcase or laundry bag, you can find something that works and make this routine happen for you when you are low on time and/or space! I hope to have photos of the exercises up soon, but for now, let me know if you have any questions, and we will get you on your way to strength training no matter what your situation may be!

Dynamic Warm-Up:

20 Jumping Jacks

20 High-knees

10 Push Ups

10 Squats

Lower-Body Workout: All 3x10 (10 reps, 3 sets)

Backpack squats

Backpack Calf raises

Forward Lunges (each side)

Tabletop Bridges

Donkey Kicks (each side)

Sumo Squats

1 Leg Deadlift

Fire Hydrants (each side)

One Leg Split Squats (on bed)

Reverse Squats

Flamingos

Ab Blast (20 of each)

Crunches

Mountain Climbers

V-crunches

Rocky Sit-Ups

Jack knives
